Today’s TSA Officer Arrest comes from the great state of Florida. The UPI is reporting TSA agent has been charged with possession of kiddie porn.

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., Sept. 13 (UPI) — A Transportation Security Administration agent in Florida has been charged with possessing child pornography on his home computer.

Andrew Smeal, a screener at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport, was arrested Tuesday at his home in Hollywood, WFOR-TV, Miami, reported. The South Florida Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force began the investigation in February, police said.

Smeal was being held on $50,000 bail. Police said he began working for TSA about two months ago.

He allegedly admitted downloading child pornography but later changed his story and said he did not know where the porn came from.

Andrew Smeal is facing 25 counts of possessing child pornography showing young children engaged in sexual acts.

Smeal works at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport.

The news came as a shock to neighbor Chris Petinaud. He said he saw police descend on Smeal’s Hollywood home Tuesday morning. Petinaud said the charges leave him disgusted.

“I had no idea,” Petinaud told CBS 4′s Carey Codd. “My children come here in the summer, playing in the back, swimming and stuff. To know that’s next door is disturbing.”

Remember folks: the most dangerous part of flying is dealing with the TSA! 318 TSA Officers have been arrested in 2011 alone.
